- Initially, I had a good experience with Belong. They accepted my application within a day for a rental, and were efficient. But it has been the WORST to get any kind of maintenance done. There were issues with my rental upon moving in (e.g., closet door was broken, bathroom fan not working, wood window trimming ripped off and left out), and it took 6 weeks to fix these things. I had another maintenance issue recently, and I was told they would have someone come look at the issue between 9-5pm. Nobody came by, so at 5pm I had to leave for an appointment. At 5:30pm I was bombarded by phone calls from different area codes, asking where I was because the maintenance person was outside waiting for me. I told them I couldn't head back home at that point, and they didn't take "no" for answer. They continued to call me from multiple phone numbers after I ended the call. I could write a whole novel about other issues I have with Belong, particularly on the maintenance services side of things, but overall, I would say their communication and timeliness is terrible.
- This is my first time dealing with a property Management company. To date my experience has been great. Very professional and on point. I believe I've found the perfect company to represent us. The first week gave us 25 views in which we had 9 follow ups. I know we'll be signing our first contract anytime. The proof is in the numbers. I don't think I could've gotten this kind of exposure on my own. In all, well worth the investment to work with such professionalism.

- Our move-in experience with Belong Property Management has been one of the most frustrating rental experiences we’ve had. We moved into the property with missing exterior door keys, no mailbox key, confusion around garage access, unresolved repair issues, exposed wiring in the garage, detached door hardware, and multiple condition concerns throughout the home. Many of these issues were identified immediately during move-in, yet we spent weeks going back and forth between multiple departments trying to get basic items acknowledged and addressed. Belong heavily emphasizes their Inspectify move-in process, requiring tenants to spend significant time documenting photos, notes, and property conditions. However, after completing the extensive walkthrough and submitting concerns through both Inspectify and the Belong app, we repeatedly found ourselves having to re-explain, re-document, and re-submit the same issues over and over again. It felt less like a supported move-in process and more like we were performing the property management company’s quality control responsibilities ourselves. Communication was fragmented with constant handoffs between team members, and many responses focused more on explaining internal processes than actually resolving problems. Even nearly 3 weeks after move-in, we are still dealing with unresolved maintenance concerns and appliance issues, including an oven malfunction. The most disappointing part is that many of these issues should have been identified and resolved before the home was ever listed as “move-in ready.” As tenants paying premium rental rates, we expected a home that was properly prepared, professionally cleaned, and fully functional on day one. To be fair, individual representatives like Belen were polite and responsive once involved, but the overall operational process and move-in standards fell far below expectations. I would strongly encourage anyone considering Belong to run the other way and do not look back.

- Don’t trust this company!! Hard to get hold of, too mangers that don’t know what hell they’re doing and short staff that actually do the work. Gives the run around. Would not recommend especially in the Bay Area. Do your research and document everything.

- Update: 27 Feb 2027 I am modifying this review form 1 star to 4 Belong has fixed all issues described below to my entire satisfaction. My confidence is restored. It is refreshing to see how feedback was taken seriously and things fixed in a few days. ****Original review**** I am giving 1 start because the system won't allow me to give zero stars. I am completely disappointed, with the service. Since we signed with this company the amount of work has tripled fixing Belong's errors. Here is the list: 1. Charged me for services that never were approved 2. By talking to the tenant directly we found Belong never performed a service they charged me for. 3. During the sales calls they committed to something they didn't want to honor. 4. Their portal has many defects and malfunctions (errors while trying to access documents, doubled charges, incorrect EOIs just to name a few) 5. They took 8 weeks to cancel a wrong charge in my account. 7. The cleaning crew they sent did a terrible job, left dirty windows and floors, and disappeared the gas key from the fireplace, which has not been replaced by the way. 8. If you don't have an SSN they won't pay you electronically, so if you hold an ITIN beware because they send you a check weeks late. I have more but no more space on the review.
