- I am writing this review to share the incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience I have had with Belong since the day I moved into my apartment. My experience with Belong has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I strongly advise both renters and homeowners to avoid their services at all costs. From the beginning, Belong’s leasing team demonstrated a shocking lack of knowledge regarding local and federal leasing laws and policies. Their inability to provide accurate information led to confusion and misinformation about my rental options. This negligence not only impacted my decision-making but also left me feeling deceived and trapped in a situation that was entirely avoidable. One of the most deceptive practices I encountered was with Belong’s promotion of the SCAM deposit-free option. At first glance, this seemed like a convenient alternative to a traditional security deposit, but the reality was far different. This so-called deposit-free option requires renters to pay a monthly fee throughout the entire lease term. What Belong conveniently fails to explain is that these payments do not contribute towards a security deposit, nor can they be applied to future expenses if the lease is renewed. Instead, renters are faced with the choice of continuing to pay these fees indefinitely or switching to a traditional deposit—essentially throwing away money month after month. Over time, these fees can accumulate to an amount far greater than a standard deposit, all while providing no benefit to the renter. It’s nothing more than a predatory cash grab designed to line Belong’s pockets. Beyond the financial exploitation, the maintenance services provided by Belong have been utterly unacceptable. I have lived in my apartment for over 13 months, and despite countless work orders and repeated conversations with multiple Belong employees, I still do not have operational blinds in my home. Even after escalating the issue to their so-called "VIP Member Relations Lead," I received nothing but the same recycled update of “no update.” This complete lack of urgency and accountability has left me feeling neglected and unimportant as a tenant. At this point, it is clear to me that Belong is nothing more than a fancy slumlord. They present themselves as a modern, customer-focused company but fail to deliver even the most basic standards of property management. Instead, they prioritize squeezing every possible dollar from their tenants while providing subpar living conditions and inadequate support. I urge anyone considering renting through Belong or hiring them as a property management company to RUN in the opposite direction. The headaches, hidden fees, and blatant disregard for tenant needs are simply not worth it. Do yourself a favor and choose a reputable, transparent, and responsive property management service instead. Save yourself the money, the stress, and the disappointment that inevitably comes with choosing Belong.

- I’ve had over 95% satisfaction rate with belong and it’s staff. The idea of the company and what it represents is outstanding and beneficial to every homeowner along with renters of every budget. I’m sure the employees on the East Coast has it much easier than this West Coast. I’ve had many great experiences and just a few that did not meet my expectations, with that being said, when you take the time to deal with the upper echelon of Management, you’ll get the results you need and encounter some spectacular employees of Belong such as Daniella (5 stars = always above & beyond), Hunter 5*, Karen 5*, and last, but not least Santiago. Daniela is my favorite and provides attention to details and high customer satisfaction which is her goal and I am so lucky to have had her as one of my agents. Here’s to many more years with Belonghome.
