Update: Tami is the reason this review changed because she went above and beyond to address my concerns. I even gave them a second property that I am hoping Tami can help keep and get another tenant. Will update accordingly. So far, this has turned around.
Not responding to my requests to basically do their job for them. I have made simple requests to just add my number to the listings because they were not responding to prospective renters. Now they have my properties held hostage and I am sure after I find my qualified tenants they will be demanding their rental fees. Just do your jobs guys, stop the games.

- We have reached out to Valeria at Belong several times to get a response to our rental application status and she has not been responsive at all. The email responses are all clearly AI generated since I kept getting a response saying they need my paystubs in pdf form, I would send them my paystubs, in pdf form, and immediately get a response saying she does not see them. I attached them again. Same exact response. I attached them again and called out how the resposne is clearly AI generated and would like to speak to a real human and get this issue resolved and only got a canned response of "Thanks! We will be in touch soon!" with no actual response or acknowledgement of the application status. My husband and I tried calling her several times about this. Get put on hold. Then told she is busy and that she will give us a call back. Two days later, she does not call back and we receive no real response via email. We call the office again. Get put on hold. Then told, once again that she is busy and will give us a call back. There is no way to get ahold of anyone there. Clearly Belong just takes your money for the screening and doesn't actually connect you with anyone to give a straight answer on the status of your rental application. I will be writing this review publicly as well to make sure others know to stay away from Belong since they will just take your money and never get back to you.

- I appreciate the procedure that Belong has to determine if your home meets their strict standards for rentability. Kyle, who came to our home to conduct the inspection, was very professional. Nathan, the account executive who has been assigned to us, explains everything in detail and with clarity. he followed up with an email that did the same. Nathan is very professional and courteous. we love our interaction with him and look forward to doing business with him and Belong in the future.

- Our experience with Belong has been extremely disappointing from the moment our lease began. We paid everything required before move-in and were told the home had been prepared to meet Belong’s standards, but when we took possession we immediately discovered numerous problems with the condition of the property. We were not provided reliable building access for all tenants, and the unit had numerous preexisting issues that we began documenting on the first day. These have included problems with the gas stove/range, refrigerator, microwave controls, a continuously running toilet, a broken kitchen drawer, damaged/scuffed doors and cabinetry, missing or defective hardware, and other maintenance and cleaning concerns. We have provided photographs, videos, emails, and maintenance requests documenting these conditions. Communication and coordination have also been frustrating. On one occasion, a plumber arrived at approximately 10 AM without us receiving advance notice of the appointment. I was available, but because the access/key issue still had not been fully resolved, I could not provide the plumber access to the unit. We have repeatedly asked Belong for a concrete repair schedule, reliable access for all tenants, and appropriate compensation for the condition in which the property was delivered. We ultimately felt it necessary to submit a service request to the City of Los Angeles regarding the property conditions. I understand that maintenance issues can happen in any rental. What is unacceptable to me is having this many issues immediately upon move-in after being told the home had been prepared, followed by days of emails and coordination simply trying to obtain the access and functioning home we were paying for. I will update this review if Belong resolves the outstanding issues and provides a fair resolution. As of today, however, our experience has been nowhere close to what I would expect from a professional property-management company.

- DO NOT USE BELONG!!!! They are a scam. I've been "working" with them for a few months now. My house is supposed to be rented in 2 weeks and till now they have done NOTHING. No showings at all. Have just reduced the price and taken my money. Can never talk to a real person. My "concierge" doesn't have a direct line. Noone does. They never reply to my emails or texts. They never call me back. I'm trying to get some money back (a good will deposit I put down on fixing things in the house and the 2 months "free" they promised me, but charged me) and after a week, they still haven't done. Now, they are having "trouble" sending me the money back. STAY AWAY. FAR AWAY!!! (I finally heard back from Tami, VIP Member Relations Lead, and she got my refund completed and had a good conversation with her. Tami was friendly and helpful and listened to my frustration. I still wouldn't use this service but want to give a fair and honest review).
